Horseshoe Bay Beach

The blushing sand at Horseshoe Bay Beach is gorgeous and the views are stunning. It is touted to be the best beach in Bermuda. The ocean waters can be rough with a strong undertow but the beach is manned by lifeguards. Horseshoe Bay Beach features a nice cafe so you’ll have access to plenty of fuel while swimming or strolling along the waterline.

All public beaches in Bermuda are open from sunrise to sunset; access to Horseshoe Bay Beach is free.

Unfinished Church

In 1870 settlers in St. George started building a grand church, but low funds, creative differences and a damaging storm led to an abandonment of the project. Today, the structure has been fortified to be safe for visitors.  It remains unfinished, but offers picturesque views of Gothic architecture and a serene atmosphere.

The Unfinished Church is located on Government Hill Road in St. George and there is no entrance fee.

Historic St. George

St. George was one of the first English towns established in North America and still holds firm to its colonial roots. In St. George, you’ll have the opportunity to see the Town Hall and Old Rectory that the settlers used hundreds of years ago. St. George is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers visitors an opportunity to stroll through the streets and be taken back to days long ago.

There is no fee to visit historic St. George, but there are entrance fees for some of the sites.

Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo

The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo is one of the world's oldest aquariums, founded in 1926. It is not just a walk through attraction, but offers interactive activities like animal feedings, arts and crafts, and snorkeling expeditions.

Entrance fees are low and the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo is located in Flatts Village, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crystal & Fantasy Caves

The Crystal & Fantasy Caves were discovered in 1907. The caves surround a 55-foot deep lake and are lined with crystal formations. Guided tours are available to take in the breathtaking crystals. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

The caves are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with guided tours leaving every 20 minutes.  There is a fee to enter, but well worth it for a chance to explore the beauty of the Crystal & Fantasy Caves.

Port Royal Golf Club

This is the golf course of choice for vacationing celebrities and PGA greats.  Greens fees are a bit salty, but the original designer was Robert Trent Jones in 1970 and the course was refurbished in 2009. The greenway is 6,842 yards, the longest in Bermuda. The course has incredible ocean views and is properly challenging considering Jones’ designs. For true golf enthusiasts, playing this pristine course will be a well treasured memory.  Proper dress and soft spiked golf shoes are required.
